My name is Ayla. If you're not sure how to pronounce that, it sounds like "Kayla" without the "K". I am a freelance learning experience designer and e-learning developer based in Honolulu, Hawaii.

I grew up in the Chicago area. After graduating college, I became a special education teacher and taught for 10 years. In 2022, I decided to switch gears and pursue a career in the field of adult learning and development. My experience as a special education teacher taught me a lot about the science of learning and behavior change. Designing with accessibility in mind is very important to me. 

I combine my knowledge of learning science with an eye for design to deliver engaging and effective learning solutions. I partner with businesses in a wide range of industries to provide learning experience design and e-learning development services. 

I have a Master's degree in Special Education (LBS II: Learning & Behavior Specialist II) from Northeastern Illinois University and a Bachelor's degree in Special Education (LBS I: Learning & Behavior Specialist I) from Illinois State University.
