Problem and Solution
Evidence custodians are responsible for the proper storage, documentation, and disposal of evidence and personal property. There are several state and federal laws that must be referenced before making a decision regarding any item. The decision process often requires evidence custodians to do their own research. Mistakes can threaten the integrity of the legal process, as well as lead to lawsuits and safety concerns.
This course focuses on one of the laws that evidence custodians must follow. It presents the information in plain language, organized by topic. It also allows the learner to work through common scenarios in order to apply their knowledge of the law. As a part of this training solution, evidence custodians would be able to access a short module on each law through. Rather than relying on memorization or tedious research, evidence custodians would be able to quickly access the information they need at any time.
